I still can see his smiling face, It brings to me sweet memories And brightens many a darkened place. tSo let your soul enshrine his ; smiles I And never once let them depart, j They'll bring you pleasant mem-' mem-' ories, And soothe your aching heart. And though you cannot call him back. Or in his presence be; For he has gone to realm's above And there he waits for thee. He waits to hold you in his arms, When you, like him, are free To lay in tranquil peace and rest Through all eternity. Take up the work you have begun, be-gun, And never once refrain; For though I know your loss is great, It must be Heaven's gain. It's said our homes in Heaven are built By good deeds done on earth; So keep on building, block by block. And you'll have one of worth. Then when your work, like his, is done And you are called away, You can dwell there and rest in peace Until the Judgment Day. Then when you are judged from that great book, And your reward is given; May you meet your loved ones, one and all. And dwell with them in Heaven- |
