Show KIWANIS VOTES TOSUPPORT SCOUT BANQUET Acting upon the invitation of Arthur Wiscombe, district chairman chair-man of the Roosevelt area Boy Scout committee, who met with the Kiwanis club last night at the Frontier Grill and invited the members to join in the district dis-trict banquet Feb. 7 at the Roosevelt L.D.S. chapel, the club voted to meet in a body and sponsor a boy of scout age. 1 This will constitute their weekly ! meeting. Several matters of business were disposed of, namely, the passing of a resolution to be ! sent Duchesne county's legis- lative representatives urging ' them to vote in favor of Senate Bill No. 75, which will, if passed, pass-ed, raise the classroom unit appropriation ap-propriation to $3800 from $3300, as it is now. A report showed jthe alst piece of school playground play-ground equipment is nearly completed by the Fredrickson ! garage and will be set up as soon as weather permits. I Two new members were inducted in-ducted by Cliff Memmott, chair- man of the education commit- . tee. They were Lewis Taylor, assistant postmaster, and Francis Fran-cis Harrison, manager of the S and H appliance shop. Presley Pres-ley Timothy was chairman and ! conducted the program. I Three high school girls entertained en-tertained with a tap dance, ac- companied by Mrs. Norman , Murphy. |
