Show Stake Conference Has Many Reports No general authorities were present at the Moon Lake stake conference held Saturday evening eve-ning and Sunday at the Mt-Emmons Mt-Emmons ward house. Absent also was President Wm. N. Brotherson, who is attending the State Legislature in the capacity of representative from Duchesne county. Sessions were conducted by Pres. Brothertson's counselors, who also addressed the meetings. meet-ings. A report of missionary activities activ-ities among the Indians was given giv-en by Elders Rand O. Rust, Albert Al-bert Clark and Claude Murray. Other speakers were Ben C. Gomm, principal of the Alta-mont Alta-mont seminary; Dean C. Christensen, Chris-tensen, superintendent of Duchesne Du-chesne county schools; and members mem-bers of the High Council, heads of quorums and auxiliary organizations. or-ganizations. Congregational sing i n g was led by Miss Beth Winkler, with Mrs. Bernard Winkler at the piano. Other musical numbers were rendered by a male quartet quar-tet composed of Hal Barton, Ross Barrett, Doyle Swallow and Ben C. Gomm; and by a Primary girls' chorus, conducted conduct-ed by Miss Afton Smithson. About 400 members of the stake were in attendance. |
