Show ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL F L A S H I I I The student body has voted Sherry Dennis as queen of the i Sweetheart ball, with Marilyn Zirker as first attendant and Maurine Gilbert as second attendant. at-tendant. It was a great and glorious Friday last week for R.H.S. We had an Esquire Girl assembly that was certainly different. Local Lo-cal talent was displayed. Another An-other assembly was on the same date. It was a film about physio-' therapy and was presented by the local polio committee. It I was very educational. We also have a very peppy pep rally. The best part of the day was i when we beat Alterra. The crowd went wild and all R H.S. was very happy. It was swell, boys! Pleast do the same when we meet Vernal this Friday. Friday, Feb. 2, at 10:45 a. m. the Vernal high school student ' body will present a model assembly. as-sembly. The public is invited. ; It will be held in the hij'h school auditorium. After the game this coming Friday, the senior class is sponsoring spon-soring a Sweetheart Ball. There . are eight candidates for the Roosevelt Sweetheart. They are, Maurine Gilbert, senior class; Shar Lynn Larsen, junior; Ka Dee Bastian, sophomore class; Carolyn Dennis, freshman class; and the following girls from various var-ious clubs: Marilyn Zirker, Ellen Gilbert, Joann Holgate and Sherry Dennis. The Sweetheart will be announced at the dance. The public is urged to attend! And, don't forget the assembly at 11:45 a. m. Friday. Our up and coming B team has won every basketball game by a wide margin. The members are Ronald Zirker, Merlin Fenn Scott Edrington, Leon Ross, Bili McLea, John Lee Zimmerman Foy Swain, Craig Hutchins, Doug Malin, Byrrell Lamb. Jerry Jer-ry LaBeau, Gordon Eldredge and Karl Murray. They deserve more support. They regularly play before the A games and begin be-gin their games at 6:45 p m |
