Show ota Lecta Horrocks JAY HORROCKS IS RELEASED FROM SERVICE Mr. and Mrs. Don Horrocks left last Wednesday for San Diego, where they will be guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Horrocks. The latter has recently received his release from active duty in the Navy. After Af-ter sight-seeing in that vicinity for a few days, the foursome plan on visiting the LDS Temples in Mesa, Arizona, Manti and St. George; also the Grand, Zions and Bryce's Canyons, enroute to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Luck are building a new home east of the Clyde Hacking residence. The foundation was run last week. Members of the sixth grade at the local school were visitors at the Junior High School in Roosevelt Roose-velt last Wednesday. Purpose was to acquaint them with the procedure proced-ure at a high school. The same day, kindergarten children were introduced to the mysteries of the hot lunch program at our own school. Ivan Bastian, who underwent an operation at the Valley Hospital in Vernal last Monday, returned to his home Thursday.. Pupils of the first and third grades were taken to Roosevelt for polio shots last Wednesday. They were accompanied by Mrs. Peterson and Mr. Dutson. Mrs. Zora,' Gardner and Mrs. Lillian Wilkerson were Salt Lake visitors last Saturday. Jack Leavitt, who is employed in Salt Lake City, spent the weekend week-end here with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Holmes and small daughter spent last Tuesday in Salt Lake City. KINDERGARTEN ACTIVITY COMES TO CLOSE Bringing six weeks of kindergarten kinder-garten activity to a close, mothers of the pupils were entertained by their children last Wednesday morning. A brief program was presented, pre-sented, after which light refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed. Twenty-four boys and girls were enrolled this year. |
