Show UEIITEHOCKS Madeena Smith Canal Breaks The water in the Whiterocks River was very muddy Wednesday due to the fact the canal carrying water to the old Marimon ranch in the canyon broke, washing tons of earth to the river below. The Francis Crozier family, of Neola, were Sunday guests at the Donald Simmons' home. Bishop Gilbert Ellingford, Elbert El-bert Smith, Walter and Leland Moosman and boys of the Aaronic priesthood attended the priesthood priest-hood outing in Uinta Canyon, Saturday. Sat-urday. The Elbert Smiths received word this week of a new grandson, grand-son, born to Mr. and Mrs, Robert Rob-ert L. Burton, of Susanville, Calif. Eldon Anderton was on the sick list Sunday. The Relief Society presidency and the block teachers of the ward attended the special meeting for teachers at Roosevelt, Sunday. Don Simmons left Tuesday for Blue Mountain, where he will care for Darrell Huber's sheep during the lambing season. The ward Aaronic priesthood members held their program on Sunday. Speakers were Kenneth Hoops, Orion Smith, Rut Murray, Elbert Smith, Mr. Gardner, of the high council and Bishop Gilbert Ellingford. The Lorin Pike family and Myrtle Hoops visited in Salt Lake with the Petro Forakis family over the weekend. The Pete Montes family, of Al-tonah Al-tonah were weekend visitors at the Howard Montes home. The Leo Pritchets, of Long Beach, Calif., are back for the summer. They arrived on Saturday. Satur-day. Mrs. Verna Hoops, Ednal Simmons, Sim-mons, Madeena Smith, Wilma and Dorothy Robb and Mable Allen attended the Book of Mormon show at the Roosevelt stake house Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Nona Golding and children, of Salt Lake, is visiting her parents, par-ents, the Wallace Twitchells this week. |
