The new officers are as follows: President of the Young Mens, Cecil Wall; 1st counselor, George Fisher, Jr.; 2nd counselor, Ray Lambert; Young Ladies, president, presi-dent, Arda Ames; 1st counselor, Jeane Lambert; 2nd counselor to be chosen. - Richard Curry of Ft. Duchesne transacted business here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Berrett and daughter of Rangely spent the weeekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Ralph Allred. Ted Snyder of Tooele spent Mother's Day with his mother, Mrs. Elva Snyder. Mrs. Wm. Ralphs left May 6 for Salt Lake City to receinve medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess spent last weekend visiting in Price. W. B. Stoddard and Bert Stoddard Stod-dard of Randlett called at the Clinton Bowden home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Timothy took their small son Raymond to Salt Lake City where he was operated op-erated on May 9 for a tumor on his foot. Raymond is 15 months cld and this was the second operation.. op-eration.. He has many treatments. Mr. and Mrs. Timothy visited with Mr. and Mrs. David Gailey at Clearfield, Sunday. Mr. Timothy returned to his work in Meeker, Colo. Monday and Mrs. Timothy and baby came home Wednesday. PREPARATION MEETING Primary Preparation meeting was held Wednesday at the home of. President Ilez Ames for officers and teachers and assistant teachers. teach-ers. Present were Ilez Ames, Norma Nor-ma Jessen, Arda Ames, Mabel Maxfield, Beth Jessen, Colleen Wall, Coralie Maxfield, Rava and Judy Clark, Joyce Reay, Karen Kolb, Peggy Ralphs, Bonnie Ames and Alta Ames. After the business busi-ness meeting a delicious lunch was sprvprl Mrs. ?.Qwley Thacker, of Salt Lake City, is here visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr., and Mrs. Jack Allred. Mrs. Thacker is quite ill. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Winkler, of Todd's Park, spent the weekend with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Monsen. Willard Bowden went to Duchesne Du-chesne Tuesday of last week to register for the Army. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark, of Vernal, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Powell on Mother's Day.. Mr. and Mrs. Orland Murray and family, of Bluebell, moved into in-to the Gerald Jacobsnn home in timm Thpv havp also leased the Glade Timothy farm. Lt. and Mrs. Howard Jessen and family, of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, visited vis-ited at the Lee Jessen home Monday, Mon-day, May 9, before leaving for Germany. Wesley Dickerson, of Roosevelt, was in town on business Tuesday. |
