Show School Children Present Dance Festival At Park The , Roosevelt Elementary School children presented a dance festival at the City Park last Friday Fri-day morning, where all types of dances were demonstrated by the various classes for parents and visitors. The festival was a climax to the school year's activity and was well presented, as have been the numerous num-erous programs prepared by the various classes under the supervision super-vision of their teachers throughout through-out the year. Faculty members should be commended for thei outstanding- events sponsored and the students' progress during! the past year, i ': ; V - , The Friday program commenced with the - winding of the Maypole by1 the- fourth grades Veda Jensen Jen-sen and Rosella Johnson; teachers. The following dances completed the- entertainment: the Hokey Pokey, Pok-ey, 1st grades Doreen Gomm and Ida Harrison; Susan's Gavotte, 2nd grades, Beryl Root and Ardella Mitchell; Kinder Polka, 3rd grades Dicia Emert and Olive Chugg; Caribou Dance, in Indian and Caribou Car-ibou costumes, 5th grade Ida j Phillips and Gerald Mitchell; Waltz of the Bells, 6th grade girls, and 'Dive for the Oyster' square dance, 6th grade John Blaine and Glade Nelson; The Kalico Kicker, all groups. |
