Show FAREWELL PARTY HONORS DANIELS A get-to-gether party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rile Blackburn Thursday evening, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Daniels, Dan-iels, who are moving to California. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Deloss Searles, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Searles of Ouray, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Eearles and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Searles and family fam-ily of Leota, and Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Searles and children, of California. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Norton, of Glines ward, were visitors of Mr. Norton's mother, Mrs. Sarah Norton, Nor-ton, on Wednesday.. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lambert returned home from Salt Lake City, Wednesday, where Mrs. Lambert went for a medical checkup. check-up. Mrs. Pearl Perry visited her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Perry and family, Wednesday, Wednes-day, and attended the funeral services ser-vices of Glenda Lee Winn. Mrs. Pearl Labrum and daughter. daugh-ter. Charmaine, were visitors of Mr, and Mrs. George Allred, on Thursday. Mrs.. Frances Lou Stubbs and sons, Brent and Brion, of Sterling, Colo., and Mrs. Mable Jenkins, of Lapoint, visited Mrs. Pearl Stubbs Wednesday evening. Mrs. Carma Hacking assumed postmaster duties Wednesday. .Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Swain were in Vernal, Thursday afternoon. Mr. Swain attended a business meeting. Mrs. Pearl Woolley and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woolley were visitors of Mrs. Thelma McKee and family fam-ily of Tridall. The occasion was Mrs. McKee's birthday. A shower was held in the ward chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. in honor hon-or of Olive Rich Perry. A program pro-gram was given and the bride received re-ceived many lovely gifts. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to a large group. A wedding dance honored the couple in the evening. Keith Horrocks was an overnight over-night guest at the home of Gary Thompson at Arcadia. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Colton and children visited Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen, Sunday-Mrs. Sunday-Mrs. Georgia Thompson's sixth grade students went to Vernal, Thursday, May 12 to present "Katherine and Fredrich" over the radio. The following students participated: par-ticipated: Marlene Horrocks, Alice Justice, Glee Warburton, Clinton Harrison, Dallen Cox and Gary Neilson. Sike Thompson accompanied accom-panied them. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lowe and children, of Salt Lake City, visited Mrs. Lowe's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen. Jerry Lowe, their son, returned home with them after spending two weeks with their grandparents. Gary Thompson, of Arcadia, vis-isted vis-isted Keith Horrocks during the week. Ronald Horrocks and Harvey Taylor went to Vernal the past three days to serve on the jury. |
