Show Valuation Notices On Way To Property Owners 6000 Parcels Of Property On County. Rolls Duchesnt County's 1955 Valuation Valua-tion Notices will be mailed Saturday, Sat-urday, May 21, reports Leland Wright, county treasurer. Every real estate owner will be mailed one or more of these notices no-tices to the latest address listed on the county records. How many of the near 6,000 notices mailed that goes to one taxpayer depends upon the number of different parcels par-cels of land he or she owns in different section or blocks, etc. Those property owners who do not receive a tax notice within a short period after the May 21 mailing date should get in touch with the treasurer's office either by telephone or letter to determine deter-mine the reason for the delay in delivery of the notice Mr. Wright said.. Any change of address should be brought to the attention of the treasurer's office. Property owners are urged to check their tax notices upon receipt re-ceipt of them in order that any error can be corrected or necessary neces-sary adjustments made in the valuation val-uation at one of the meetings of the Board of Equalization scheduled sched-uled for May 31 at Roosevelt; June 7 and 20 at Duchesne. Such adjustments are to be made only upon these dates. Any person meeting with the Equalization (Continued on Page 2) VALUATION NOTICES . . . (Continued from page one) Board should bring the notice. The new system ol record keeping keep-ing set up in the county this year makes it necessary to change the valuation notice form. Classification Classifica-tion of farm land is not shown as to acreage or value of irrigated, improved, pasture, grazing, etc. This is all listed under "Agricultural." "Agricul-tural." Town and city lots will be listed as "Residential" or "Commercial." "Com-mercial." The county assessor's records carry a complete classification classifi-cation record of all the property in the county, and records are available for inspection by the landowners. The values listed on the notice is a basis for determining the amount of taxes each property owner is to pay. Computation of the 1955 taxes will be made when the mill levies from the respective respec-tive taxing units are approved. Tax notices will be mailed during dur-ing September. |
