Show Track .Meet Won By Uintah High Uintah high school piled up 127 56 points last Saturday to win the Uintah Bisin high school district track meet as they rambled to six first places for a 42-point margin over second sec-ond place Alterra, which claimed claim-ed 85-13 points. The Rough-riders Rough-riders from Roosevelt were third with 44 Vfc, and Duchesne with 41 and Altamont, with 3 13 brought up the rear. John Benson, sophmore at the Rider school, clipped off the century in 10:4 and the 220 in 24-flat to win the two sprint contests, and in doing so made exceptional time for a second-year second-year high school athlete. Leo Brady, star center on the Eagle basketball team at Duchesne, contributed two f ijst in the high jump and the broad jump, and made two impressive marks in his triumph. The Utes collected only 6 out of 16 first places In the meet, but were strong in seconds and thirds,1 which is where they accumulated ac-cumulated their points. Alterra and Roosevelt each copped 4 firsts, and Duchesne, 2. On May 5, a week from Saturday, Sat-urday, Vernal will host the region re-gion five meet, which will draw track teams from San Juan, Grand, Emery, Carbon, Duchesne Du-chesne and Uintah counties. At this meet athletes will qualify for the annual state A and B track festivals to be held the following week in Salt Lake City.
