Show Fire Fighters I Meet At Price . Cooperative fire fighters of of five counties in southeastern Utah met at Price on April. 18 to receive instructions and council coun-cil and to plan an intensive fire control program designed to meet the drouth conditions that have been threatening during the early spring months. According to Paul A. Krause, range manager for the Indian Service, with headquarters at Ft. Duchesne, host to the conference confer-ence was Sheriff Joe Holman, of Carbon county. Those from the Basin in addition to Mr. Krause, who attended were Glen Lambert, Lam-bert, of the U. S. Forest Service, Vernal, and Carl Staley, deputy sheriff of Uintah county. Training Train-ing schools will be set up to further instruct those, who are duty bound to fight and control fires. John E. Burt, Jr., deputy forest for-est fire warden, served as coordinator co-ordinator and conducted the meeting. Others who lead in the discussions were U. H. Zu-berbuhler, Zu-berbuhler, forester, of Ogden,. and W. E. Tangren, assistant state fire warden. Counties represented at the meetings were Carbon, Emery, Duchesne, Grand and San Juan. |
