Show Roosevelt Ward Plans Reunion For May 4, 5 There will be a big time in the Roosevelt L.D.S. ward on May 4 and 5, is an announcement announce-ment made this week by Bishop R. Vernon Larson, who has reported re-ported a ward reunion is being planned for those dates. All former members of the ward will be extended an invitation to return for a visit and to join in the two-day activity program being' provided for the occasion. According to Bishop Larson, the general chairman for the program is Paul Nelson, who will announce- all special committee com-mittee assignments next week. On the program is an auction, country store, banquet and various var-ious other activities that will provide the ward a chance to raise some much needed funds with which to pay accumulated obligations brought about by the purchase of a farm recently, and various other programs such as welfare, buildings, seminary assessments, etc. The two-day program will begin at 4 p. m. Friday afternoon, after-noon, May 4, with an auction sale, at which time just about everything from a tooth-brush to a 40-acre farm will be sold. A professional auctioneer will be on hand to stimulate the sales and to help point out the values that can be acquired. Following Follow-ing the auction, later in the evening, eve-ning, a program is being arranged. arrang-ed. A country store will be in operation throughout the day and evening. Saturday's activities will feature fea-ture a banquet, with the country coun-try store, fish pond and various other concessions and stands to attract the crowd. A complete program of events, including time, etc., will be printed in next week's issue of the Standard. However, a special spe-cial invitation is being extended to the Uintah Basin to join in the program, and especially to former Roosevelt ward members. mem-bers. , |
