Show Work Commenced On Community Flower Garden According to Mrs. Clair Ash-ton, Ash-ton, president of the Community Commun-ity Garden Club, a group met with the Roosevelt city council Monday night, and were assured that the city would cooperate in every way in the flower garden gar-den project now underway in the city park. The council consented to put in the necessary pipes and sprays, and will furnish a man and a truck to help haul soil for the plot. They will also see that gravel walks are put in. Work commenced this week. Both the Roosevelt high school and the elementary school have shown much enthusiasm and interest in-terest in the project and anticipate antici-pate having a portion of the plot for their own. The Future Farmers of the high school will furnish a great deal of the labor. la-bor. Mrs. Ashton cordially invites all organizations to take over club plots in the designated area and to support this beautifica-tion beautifica-tion program to the utmost. The Garden Club district convention con-vention is being held in Vernal Saturday, April 28, with an afternoon af-ternoon meeting scheduled for 2 p. m. and a banquet planned for that evening at 7 p. m. Roosevelt Roos-evelt Garden club members have been extended an invitation to attend the conference, which will feature one of the best rose-arians rose-arians in the state as one of the speakers.
