Show Polio Patient Out Of Hospital The son of Don Gardner is out of the hospital. He received tretatment daily at the hospital. He was stricken with polio about a month ago. The family of Ray Gardner has moved to Roosevelt for the winter months. Ray comes up and takes care of his cattle several sev-eral times a week. The side roads are so muddy that Mrs. Angela Chivers is unable un-able to get down to' her ranch with her car and is forced to leave . it at the corner. Mrs. Chivers is teaching the fourth grade at Alterra and goes back and forth every day. Mrs. Naomi Gardner and family fam-ily spent the weekend in Salt Lake with her husband, Darrel, who has employment there this winter. Mrs. Gardner is teaching teach-ing the first and second grades here. Dinner guesis ac the Leland Peterson home Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sloan, of Vernal, Ver-nal, and Mr. and Mrs. John Bingham, also' of Vernal. Later they attended the square dance held Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Yack and family spent the weekend in alt Lake City. Elliot Bisel recently installed I a new electric water heater in the home of Rex Gardner at Hayden. Albert Harris, of Roosevelt, stake High Councilman, was a visitor at Sunday School, Feb. 8th. Two bicycles met head on last Thursday and two boys were injured. Glen Keele and Allan Wardle were victims. Allan received re-ceived a broken shoulder and Glen has cuts and bruises to remind him of the accident. Both were treated at the Roosevelt Roose-velt LDS hospital. The boys are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Tal Wardle and John Keele. |
