Show Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee Retiring MIA Officers Feted A party honoring the retiring M.I.A. officers was held Tuesday Tues-day evening at the ward house, under the direction of Edythe Marret and. Wells Wright. The following program was presented: present-ed: Saxophone solo, by Ronald Lxonbee; reading, by Vernetta Miyer; piano solo, Carl Taylor; and remarks by Bishop Carl Van Tassell.' The evening was spent' in square "dancing. Miss Anon Chf istensen, Karalyn Smith and Clive Moon, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, assisted in teaching several sev-eral new dances. ' i Calvin Barker went to Salt Lake City on Sunday to have a medical check-up. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Brady and Lowell Brady, of Colorado, visited last. Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Elden Brady and Mrs. Zeda Brady. Mrs. Hope Harper and children chil-dren and Mrs. Wm. Franklin, of Mt." Emmons;' visited Saturday with Mrs. Elva Lisonbee. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Taylor and children, of Salt" Lake City, visited last week with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Walters, Mr. and Mrs. ' Roy Taylor, and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Brady that their sons, Joe, Max and Lloyd are all stationed at Ft. Ord, Calif. However, the boys, are not with the same company, they were able to meet each Sunday at church service. Each of the young soldiers served a mission for the L.D.S. Church prior to their induction into the army. ' Mr. and Mrs. George Marret, Bishop and Mrs. Carl Van Tas-sell, Tas-sell, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor spent an evening of last week visiting Mr. . and Mrs. Clive Sprouse. |
