Show Helen Armstrong Married Jan. 30 Mrs. Helen Armstrong was married Jan. 30 to Mr. Alfred Stirk, of Salt Lake City, in a candle-light ceremony at the home of her parents, Mayor and Mrs. V. T. Rice, of Bountiful. Her sister, Mrs. Carl Peterson was matron of honor. Mrs. Stirk was a resident of Alterra for quite a few years. QUILTING PARTY Mrs. Osa Hullinger entertained entertain-ed the following group of ladies at her home last week at a quilting quilt-ing party, Maude Anderson, Fannie Fan-nie Todd, Vida Betts, Evelyn Brighton, Pearl Cook, Nita White and Afton Brighton. Mr. Hancbck, a state health inspector of Salt Lake City, was at the Alterra school last week on an inspection tour. Max Todd, Glen Womack and Lynn Bracken were in from the B.Y.U. to spend the weekend with home folks. Mrs. Calvin Squire assisted in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Spen-cer Squire while Mrs. Squire was in the hospital with her new baby. Mrs. Minnie Angus presented the Theology lesson in Relief Society last - Tuesday, in place of MrSi Evelyn Brighton, who was ill with the flu. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Broderick and two small children, of Salt Lake City, were last weekend visitors . at the home of Mrs. Broderick's x parents, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen. One of the twin places on the Costuros farm is being remodeled remodel-ed into an apartment house. Miss Collen Farmer, from Brigham City, was a guest of Miss Joanne Todd at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd. Joanne and Miss Farmer had met at Girls' State last summer. |
