Nicholson, of the Mc-Lea Mc-Lea and Nicholson firm of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, this week sold his interest in the business to J. V. McLea. Mr. Nicholson has been in. the implement business in Roosevelt for the past 14 years. He left I Roosevelt Wednesday for Oregon Ore-gon to look over his new field. Cpl. Kenneth Labrum. sort of Mr. and Mrs. Raj C. Labrum, of Roosevelt, joined the army August 5, 1940 and was stationed sta-tioned at Angle Island, Calif, for 4 months training, then sailed sail-ed for Honolulu, Pearl Harbor. Chester H. Hartman and Ed Conklin, of Mt. Emmons, have returned to their homes after attending the REA National Convention Con-vention at St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Eugene Harmston went to Salt Lake City last Friday to bring her husband home from the hospital, where he has been for some time. However, he was taken back to Salt Lake Monday Mon-day on account of his condition. 20 Years Ago Two of our local boys, who played on the D.C.H.S. basketball basket-ball team last year, (Bumps) Elmer El-mer Eldredge and Aldon Alexander, Alex-ander, with Louis Neeley. who coached at our high school last year, have been playing for the Ross Business College in the City League of Grand Junction, Colo, this winter, and by the last report in the Grand Junc-I Junc-I tion Sentinel they have not been beaten so far this season. According Ac-cording to the lineup, Alexander is playing forward position; Eldredge, El-dredge, guard, and Neeley, center. cen-ter. Saturday at the D. C. H. S. building, an institute for teachers teach-ers of Uintah and Duchesne counties was held with Supt. C. M. Iverson, of the Duchesne county and H. M. Olsen, of Uintah Uin-tah county in charge. The Roosevelt Stake Mutual board will present their annual play, "The Whole Town's Talking," Talk-ing," at the Utopia theratre, Thursday evening. Feb. 11. The cast consisting of Oral Goodrich, Louise Larsen, Pearl Nelson, Myrle Kelly, Ardis Pack,, Mildred Goodrich, Bruce Calder, Stanley Gun, Garrett Stone, Karl Lemon have been working very hard on the production, pro-duction, which is being directed by Mrs. M.
