Show Trucking Company Awards Gold Medals To Drivers The Inland and Uintah Freight Lines, locally owned trucking firms, opened a two-day session with their annual business meetings meet-ings and employees' banquet at the Hotel Utah, December 30 and 31. A feature of the meetings was the presentation of gold medals and safety driving certificates by A. Fred Dipo, vice-president of the companies, to Glen Bowen, 11-years, Walt Smith, 14-years, and Irvin Boswell, 9-years, who had driven the highways consecutively consec-utively without an accident. There were 140 other safety awards earned by Inland and Uintah Freight Line Company drivers To qualify for an award, a driver must complete twelve (12) consecutive months without being involved in an accident. The meetings were under the direction di-rection of Ray V. Lilenquist, president of the two companies, and Mr Dipo, vice-president of both companies. These two gentlemen gen-tlemen presented the safety awards. The sum total of the years of safe driving as represented repre-sented by these 140 awards equal the equivalent of 430 years of accident-free driving. The Uintah and Inland Freight Lines provide through trailer motor freight service ser-vice to the East and to San Francisco Fran-cisco West Coast Bay regions. |
