Show Eighteen Scouters Attending Training Course Eighteen scouters are currently attending the 1955 Scoutmasters' Training Course being conducted for scout leaders in the Moon Lake District. Boy Scout fundamentals was the theme of the opening session, Wednesday, January 5. Organization Organi-zation and leadership on the troop and patrol level was discussed at the second session January 8. Held at Altamont, the 16 hour course is scheduled to run every Saturday evening from 8 to 10 p.m. with the exception of the third Saturday . Glen Mohlman, Altamont, was appointed senior patrol leader of the training troop. Patrol leaders elected were: Ellis Burton and Harry Thayne of Talmage, and Willard Mecham of Mt. Emmons. Those participating in the opening open-ing sessions included: Ellis Burton, Merril Taylor, and Harry Thayne of Talmage; Lloyd C. Nelson and Oscar Nelson of Upalco; Anthon Rust, Glen Mohlman, Glendon Hanberg, and Willard B. Mecham of Mt. Emmons; Mons Johnson, Martin Brotherson, Cecil Kofford, and Clarence Oman of Boneta; James Powell and Leonard Goodrich Good-rich of Bluebell; Linford Maxfield j of Altonah; and Neighborhood I Commissioner, Grant Peel. I Rulon Dean Skinner, Field Scout Executive of the Uintah Basin is directing the course. |
