Show Kenneth organ is Ksiv Ooosevelt Penney Manager Kenneth F. Morgan, native of Malad, Idaho, has assumed management man-agement of the Roosevelt J. C. Penney Co. store, replacing Merlin Mer-lin Hays, who had been at the helm since Oct. 1, following the retirement of E. J. Nixon. Originally Mr. Morgan, who has spent the past 18 months as manager man-ager at Mt. Pleasant, was scheduled sched-uled to replace Mr. Nixon, but a last minute switch sent Mr. Hays here to finish out the year of 1954, with the understanding the two managers would switch stores at the beginning of 1955. Mr. Hays is now the manager at Mt. Pleasant, and came to Roosevelt from the Price store, where he was assistant manager. Roosevelt's new Penney man first joined the organization in 1935 in his hometown of Malad, Idaho. About a year and one-half later he was transferred to Mont-pelier, Mont-pelier, where he spent four years; then went to St. Anthony for three, after which he was assigned to the Idaho Falls store, where he was assistant manager for six . years. Not all the time between 1935 and the present was spent selling merchandise over a counter, for Mr. Morgan he spent four and one-half years in the U. S. Air Corps in World War II, being discharged dis-charged as a sergeant. He is a graduate of the Malad High School.... is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints, and has been affiliated with Lions Club in St. Anthony and at Mt. Pleasant. Coming to Roosevelt with Mr. Morgan are his wife, Lillian, and two sons, Dennis, 9 years, and Kevin, five months. They have taken up housekeeping in the Lee Harmston home. Mr. Morgan's first reaction to his new home was the friendliness friendli-ness of the people he had met, and looks forward to becoming better acquainted and taking part in the affairs of the community. |
