Show Mrs. Violet Gemry Mrs. Bertha Angus First Birthday Little Ree Jones celebrated her first birthday anniversary Sunday, being just one year old. The following fol-lowing little guests helped her enjoy the day and big birthday cake, Carolyn, Jerry Foote and Pat Gentry. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hadden, of 'Myton, announce the birth of a daughter at the Roosevelt Hospital, Hos-pital, January 5th. Mrs. Hadden is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ol-! Ol-! ive Sorensen of Ioka, and this is I Mrs. Sorensen's first great-grandchild. Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Stevens and family left Monday, Jan. 3rd for their home in El Paso, Texas. They have been visiting Mrs Ste-, Ste-, ven's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Senor Mortensen. . Mr. and Mrs. Richard Spencer and children left Thursday for I their home in Salt Lake City. They have been visiting Mrs. Spencer's sisters, Mrs. Howard Jones and Mrs. Paul Foote, and Richard's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spencer. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Russon, of Roosevelt, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lemon and i family. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ames and children left last week for Salt Lake City, where they will spend the remainder of the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Don Ames will care for their place here while they are away. Mr. and Mrs. Senor Mortensen made a short visit to Salt Lake I City last week. Adel Jensen was the overnight guest of Marie Solomonson of Myton, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Sorensen and children, of Myton, called on Glen's mother, Mrs. Olive Sorensen, Soren-sen, Friday evening. 4-H CLUB MEETS The 4-H Club held their monthly month-ly meeting at the home of John Percival Wednesday night. Eight members were present. Bishop James F. Lemon and two sons, Jimmie and Lyle, went to Tabiona Saturday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Melburn spent the past week at Union and Salt Lake. Mrs. Melburn's mother was sick. Gladys Drollinger entertained her Sunday School class Saturday evening. Games were played and refreshments served. Oscar Nelson, of Upalco, visited Saturday with his daughter, Mrs. James Lemon. LOCAL RESIDENT DIES Emil Anderson died suddenly Saturday morning at his home here. Mr. Anderson was one of the first pioneers here with his family. He is survived by his wife and four sons and daughters. daugh-ters. Fireside Chat was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Drollinger, Sunday night. The speaker was Ray Summers of Ft. Duchesne. Light refreshments were served. Speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday were Venil Johnson and Harold Timothy of Roosevelt and Russell Robison, stake high councilman. coun-cilman. A piano solo was played by Rena Russell. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Doyal Lloyd is very sick. |
