Show Witon Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Obituary Newton W. Anderson Newton W. Anderson, 48, Re-dondo Re-dondo Beach, California, a former resident of the Uintah Basin, died Friday, Jan. 7, while at work in Redondo Beach of a heart ailment. ail-ment. He was born in Salt Lake City in 1906, a son of Chris and Nettie Gray Anderson. The family later lived in Park City, coming to the Uintah Basin about 1915. They resided re-sided in Duchesne and other parts of Duchesne county, moving to ' California about elven years ago. He married Ruth Sand in Salt Lake City in Sept. 1929 Sur-' ' vivors are his widow, a son and a daughter, Newton M. and Jo Anne of Redondo Beach; his parents, par-ents, Kernville, California; one brother, Jack C. Anderson, Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Mil-dred J. Gagon, North Hollywood, California, Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Albert, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. J. Ted (Grayce) Rosval, Calif. FRIDAY BRIDGE Mrs. P. E. Church entertained Friday afternoon at a bridge dessert. des-sert. Enjoying the delicious refreshments re-freshments and an afternoon of bridge were Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. Rex Lamb, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mrs. Wesley Jenson, Mrs. H. C. Cooper and Mrs. W. R. Harris. High score prize was awarded to Mrs. Linck. Mrs. Wendall Workman of Lay-ton Lay-ton was a visitor during the past week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson. She was joined Saturday by her brother William Robinson and her sisters, Mrs. Cleone Sproul and Faye Robinson, who came from Salt Lake City to spend the weekend week-end with their parents. They returned re-turned Sunday evening to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Wilbur Wall arrived last week from Jamestown, Kansas, for an indefinite visit at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson. Mr. Carl Stephens brought his wife and infant daughter from the Roosevelt Hospital Saturday. The little Miss, born January 3, is the second daughter in the family fami-ly and also has three brothers, all anxious to greet her on her arrival home. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hadderr are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby daughter, born Wednesday-at Wednesday-at the Roosevelt Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lott and' children spent the weekend in Salt Lake City to be with Mrs. Lott's mother who has been ill for some time. They were accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Olgo Solmon-son, Solmon-son, who visited members of her family during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Clark went to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. Clark entered the LDS Hospital where he underwent surgery on Thursday. Latest report received by the Clark family is that he is getting along nicely. John L. Johnson who has been visiting at the home of his brother broth-er Gus Johnson in Logan, during the past two weeks, returned to his home Thursday. William Jennings has received an announcement of the arrival of a son born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jennings January 5 in San Diego, Calif. This is the first grandchild, and Mr. Jennings is a very proud grandfather. , ' PINK-BLUE SHOWER A pink and blue shower complimented com-plimented Mrs. Calvin Monks when a group of her friends gathered Friday evening at the Monk's ranch home on South Myton bench. A pleasant evening was enjoyed, and delicious refreshments re-freshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Mortensen, Sr., left Sunday for Berthod, Colorado, Col-orado, where they will visit their daughter's family. Weather permitting per-mitting they will continue on to Iowa for a longer vacation trip. Mr. and Mrs. Levi Porritt returned re-turned last week from a visit with relatives in Salt Lake City. |
