Show Auxiliary Bishop Visits St. Helen's Church Joseph Lennox Federal, Auxiliary Aux-iliary Bishop of the Salt Lake Catholic Diocese, visited St. Helen's Parrish in Roosevelt for the first time last Saturday and Sunday. During his visit here he met with a group of Catholic men to form a new organization, which will be known as the Holy Name Society. The grouo will meet next Thursday night, January 15, at 8 p.m. in the parrish house, and the Altar Society will hold a meeting at the same hour in the Catholic rectory. All men and women of the church are urged to attend these meetings. Bishop Federal said mass Sunday arid delivered the sermon ser-mon at both Sunday masses at St. Helen's church. While here he was a guest of Rev. Ignacious Strancar and a dinner guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gor-don Harmston. Sunday afternoon he was joined by Bishop Duane G. Hunt of Salt Lake City, who had been in Vernal, and Rev. Arthur Harding, who will now head the St. James Parris in Vernal. All were guests at the Catholic Rectory in Roosevelt. |
