Show flew Chev., Quick 3n Display At f.lcKinlay f.lotor Record-breaking crowds are expected to throng Chevrolet dealer showrooms this weekend for the debut of 1953 passenger and truck models. Scheduled for public display for the first time on Friday, Jan. 9th, the new line embraces the most far-reaching improvements improve-ments in Chevrolet history. W. E. Fish, general sales manager man-ager of the company, bases a forecast of a record turnout on three significant factors: "First, reports of Chevrolet development work around Detroit De-troit have kindled more interest than in any previous model," said Fish. "Secondly, dealers are expending more money and effort ef-fort to make the event a success. "A third reason for anticipating anticipat-ing large crowds is that dealers are extending their introductory period over two days. Traditionally, Tradition-ally, Chevrolet has displayed new models on Saturday. By unveiling the 1953 cars Friday, dealers will have two days to be hosts to the public before the Sunday closing." Fish added that highway demonstrations dem-onstrations will play a more important im-portant part than in former announcements an-nouncements because of the number of added performance features in the new cars. The new 1953 Chevrolet will be on display tomorrow. Friday, Jan. 9, at the showrooms of Mc-Kinlay Mc-Kinlay Motor Co. and the public is invited to drop in and see ths new car. Also showing at McKinlay Motor is the new 1953 Buick, another General Motors production produc-tion that offers comfort, and joy to the man who owns and drives a Buick. |
