Show Floyd R. Petersen Hosted Head Of llm$ Committee Floyd Peterson, retiring president pres-ident of the Roosevelt Kiwanis club, Tuesday night was selected tto act as chairman for the 1953 Community Christmas committee, commit-tee, as representative of various service and civic clubs of the city met at the city building to approve bills, hear reoorts and re-organize the committee. Mr. Peterson, who served as vice-chairman of the '52 committee, com-mittee, will succeed Lawre1'. Jensen. Elected vice-ehairman was Paul Murphy, with Mis-? Esther Wogec retained as secretary, sec-retary, and Mrs. Jessie O. Orser again named treasurer. According to Mr. Jensen, the various activities, including the street decorations, received praise from all sources, and expressed ex-pressed his appreciation on behalf be-half of the entire committee to all who aided in the very successful suc-cessful program. He announced there were still accounts out-1 standing against the committee which should be turned in to Miss Wogec or to him so that prompt payment could be made. |
