Show Mrs. Bertha Angus . Mrs. Violet Genlry Party Honors Mrs. Bertha Angus Friday night the Bee Hive girls, June Hardman, Carrol Lemon, Rovona Campbell, Mar-cia Mar-cia Lemon, Ha Voy Lemon, Louise Lou-ise Gentry and Leader Deloris Zobell surprised Mrs. Bertha Angus with a party. Stories, poems and some jokes were enjoyed en-joyed and refreshments were served. The other leader and some girls were unable to come. The Primary officers gave the children a dance New Year's day from 3 to 4 p.m. They had a very enjoyable time. Howard Lloyd left Saturday to' return to school at Logan. Barth Stone accompanied him as far as Salt Lake City. The baby of Mr. and Mrs. Randel Russel is ill with Chick-enpox Chick-enpox and pneumonia. Gorden Foster, secretary of the Elder's quorum, was a visitor vis-itor of Otto Lloyd and Keit'i Lemon, Friday night. Mrs. Foster Fos-ter accompanied him to visit with the ladies. Mrs. Thelma Robison entertained enter-tained at dinner, Sunday, for Maxine Nelson and Cherei Drol-linger, Drol-linger, honoring her daughter. Jolene, on her birthday. Mr. and Mrs! Glen Remund ind daughters, Eva Rae. Carolyn Caro-lyn and Connie Lee. visited their mother, Friday. Mrs. Thelma Robison went to Vernal, Wednesday, to attend the funeral of her uncle, Louis Goodrich. She also visited with her uncle, Bryon Goodrich, after services. Sunday night services were ?iven by. the Generalogical Society So-ciety and speakers were Ann Mitchie and Bertha Angus. A solo by Dwane Marsh, accom panied by LaRae Drollinger, completed the program. NEW OFFICERS AND TEACHERS In meeting Sunday, James Zobell Zo-bell was sustained as 2nd counselor coun-selor in the Sunday School to take the place of Kay Campbell who left for the armed service-. Eliza Robison was sustained as kindergarten teacher to replace Marie Benson, who has moved away. Mr. and Mrs. William Fausett, of Roosevelt, were guests of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Warr, New Year's day. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wis-combe, Wis-combe, of Provo, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Gentry. Wednesday of last week. Bishop James Lemon and family fam-ily and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lemon Lem-on spent New Year's day in Vernal as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lemon. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Olive Sorensen during the New Year's holiday were Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Washburn and baby of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fausett and family, of Upalso; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sorensen and daughter, of My-Von; My-Von; Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Sorensen Sor-ensen and children, of Mvton, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Washburn Wash-burn and children, of Ioka. Eveyln Fausett spent the past week in Vernal with her sisters, Mrs. Barbara McCarrol and Mrs Craig Caldwell. Leon Saunders, of Salt Lak City, and Douglas Malin, of Roosevelt, visited friends in Ioka, Friday.. |
