Show Blackings Proud Parents Of First '53 Baby Congratulations are in order for the George Hackings, who have the distinct honor of being be-ing the parents of the first baby born at the Roosevelt City hospital in 1953. The new arrival, female sex, made her entrance into the world Sunday, January 4, at 5:27 a.m. and weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces. She already answers to "Maryelen." Happy mother and new daughter were very elated when Mrs. Dwain Buchanan, upon hearing of the birth of the first 1953 baby, arrived at the hospital with a host of gifts from Chris-tensen's Store for the new little Miss. Anxiously awaiting for Maryelen's release from the hospital are her three brothers and one sister Robert, Grant, David and Margaret. |
