Show Indian Talent Displayed At BPW Convention An interesting Indian program pro-gram from the Uintah Basin was presented at the closing banquet of the State Convention for Business Bus-iness and Professional Women last Saturday night at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City. According to Mrs. Parley Rawlings, BPW district chairman, chair-man, who arranged the program, pro-gram, the large group assembled for the occasion, was thrilled with the informative and entertaining en-tertaining presentation, with Mrs. LaRena Iorg, of Fort Duchesne Du-chesne acting as emcee. Mrs. Iorg related a brief history of the Uintah Basin and the Ute Indians, and then sang "Indian Love Call," accompanied by Mrs. Rawlings. Clark Oarum sang two numbers, "One Alone" and "Ramona," accompanied by Miss Marilyn Anderson, followed follow-ed by a duet by the two vocalists, vocal-ists, "Let the Rest of the World Go By." Both wore the. traditional tradi-tional colorful Indian costume. Attending the banquet at the Hotel Utah were Mr. and Mrs. Ross Iorg, Mrs. Rawlings, Mr. . Oarum and Miss Anderson. i |
