Show Personal Shower Honors Bride Miss Margo Linck was hostess last Tuesday evening at a personal per-sonal shower complimentary to Miss Jenene Harris, who became the bride of Max Peatross, Friday, Fri-day, Aug. 28th in rites at the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. The bride-to-be was the recipient of many lovely gifts presented by the group of young friends. The hostess served a delicious lunch to her guests. FRIDAY BRIDGE Mrs. Bliss Lott was hostess to members of the Friday Bridge Club and other guests at her home Friday afternoon. Present were Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. Rex Lamb, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mrs. Homer Hom-er Robinson, Mrs. W. R. Harris, Mrs. W H. Koehler, Mrs. Harry Har-ry Nelson and Mrs. R. H. Bur-dick. Bur-dick. Refreshments were served and high score prize was awarded award-ed to Mrs. Dalgleish. YOUNG MATRONS' CLUB MEET ON THURSDAY Members of the Young Matrons' Mat-rons' Club were guests of Mrs. Dee Iorg at her ranch home, Thursday evening. Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mrs. John Uresk,' Mrs. Frank Uresk, Mrs. Forrest Hancock, Mrs. DeVere Hancock, and Mrs. Lynn Dean enjoyed a pleasant evening and a delicious lunch. The next meeting will be held Thursday evening, Sept: 10 at the home of Mrs. Frank Uresk. Ur-esk. SUNDAY NIGHT SUPPER Mrs. Bliss Lott entertained at a Sunday night supper, with Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Mortensen, Sr., and Miss Alice Todd as guests. Bridge was the - evening's diversion, with prizes awarded to Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Linck, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb and Mr. Mortensen. HOSTS TO CHURCH GROUP Miss Sally Schuckers and Jim Schuckers were hosts to the younger set of the Vernal, Gusher Gush-er and Roosevelt Baptist churches, church-es, Tuesday evening, when they entertained at a hamburger fry on their spacious lawn. Thirty-four Thirty-four guests were present to participate par-ticipate in the fun and enjoy the most delicious out-of-door repast. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stephens and family left Wednesday for Rifle, Colo, on a short vacation trip. Mr. Stephens planned a few days of trout fishing in Colorado streams while his wife and family visited relatives and friends. Mrs. Ralph. Rounsley and two children, of Rangely, Colorado, who were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Schuckers. Schuck-ers. returned home last week. Mrs. Schuckers and daughter, Sally accompanied them for a brief stay in Rangely, returning home Wednesday night. ATTEND CONVENTION Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lott left Thursday for Salt Lake City, where they joined other members mem-bers of the American Legion and Auxiliary, to entrain for St. Louis, Missouri, to attend the National Convention of the Legion Leg-ion and Auxiliary. Mr. Lott is the commander of Wm. R. Sands Post No'. 5, while his wife is a past unit president. Louis Uresk left Wednesday for Chicago, 111. to resume his studies at Northwestern Dental College. He accompanied friends who came from Chicago for a short visit at the Uresk ranch. Mrs. Wallace Woods, who' recently re-cently underwent surgery in a Salt Lake City hospital, was sufficiently suf-ficiently improved to be returned return-ed home last week and is steadily stead-ily improving. . Ralph Jenson, who has been spending his summer vacation at the home of his uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Cooper, left Thursday evening for his home in Salt Lake City, knowing that school days were getting nearer. Mrs Rudy Krissman completed complet-ed her summer school course at B.Y.U. in Provo, returning home last week. She has accepted ac-cepted a position as a member of the faculty at Union " High School for the ensuing term. Alice Nick, who has been visiting vis-iting her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Harper, left Friday Fri-day for Phoenix, Arizona, where she will resume her studies. Mrs. Lydia Elder, of Kingston, Piute County, is visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gareth Anderson. Mrs. Paul Felter accompanied accompan-ied Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hayes, of Duchesne, to Salt Lake City, Friday, returning home Saturday Satur-day evening. Mrs. Ethel Baril enjoyed a visit Friday from Mr. and Mrs. Harry D. Baker, of Grand Junction, Colo. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Giles are Mrs. Giles' mother, Mrs. A. H. Manning Man-ning and two grandchildren, of Ogden; and her aunt. Mrs. Mae Murman, of Ohama, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd visited vis-ited at the summer camp of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monks, on Upper Up-per Yellowstone, during the weekend. Visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Del-ler Del-ler are Mr. and Mrs. Ed Markey and daughter, of Eaglerock, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Meran-da Meran-da came from American Fork for the weekend to attend to the crops on their ranch west of town. Mr. and Mrs. Max Nielson and daughter, of Spanish Fork, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Woodard on South Myton Bench. Mrs. Nielson Niel-son is a niece of Mr. Woodard. Mrs. W. H. Koehler and Mrs. Marry Nelson, of Vernal, were luncheon guests at the home of Mrs. Bliss Lott, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck returned Sunday from a business busi-ness trip to Salt Lake City. During Dur-ing their absence they attended a convention at Pleasant Grove, where they reported the activities acti-vities of the National Convention Conven-tion of the Star Route Mail Carriers, which they attended in Waterton, N Y., Aug. 4, 5, 6 and 7th. Miss Faye Robinson went to Layton last week to visit her sister, Mrs. Wendel Workman. She was joined Monday by her mother, Mrs. Homer Robinson, and they enjoyed a day of shopping shop-ping before returned to Myton, Tuesday afternoon. |
