Show Mrs. Elsie Bird 4-SS Club Boys Tour Local Farms Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bell and children and Mrs. John Bell, of Salt Lake City, visited at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate. Mrs. John Solmonson, another sister, of Pleasant Valley, Val-ley, also visited with them. John Capson and son, Lamar, returned from Nevada, where 'they have been employed. Visitors at the .home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Blake and family, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Gwen Bodily, Bod-ily, of Roosevelt; Arthur Mas-sey Mas-sey and son. Glen, and wife of Vernal. Mrs. Cynthit Massey, of Vernal, returned home after spending a few days visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird received word of a new grandson, grand-son, born to Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan, of Neola, at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital, August 26. Mother Moth-er and baby were welcomed home, Sunday, by his' sister Clarine, and brother, Douglas. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jensen, of Spanish Fork, visited during the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen. Frank and Charles are cousins. John Zirker, Mrs. Ken (Le-ona) (Le-ona) Zirker and Ramona Niel-son. Niel-son. of Moses Lake, Wash., arrived ar-rived Sunday to visit relatives and friends. Mr. Zirker is looking look-ing after his interests here. Mrs. Marion S. Shields went to Spanish Fork, Sunday, with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shields. When she received a phone call telling her Mrs. Leona Zirker was here, she returned on the bus that same evening. Bob Calvin returned to his home in Sait Lake City, after spending the summer at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen. Joan Williams also returned to Salt Lake after spending a few days at the Jensens. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hor-rocks, Hor-rocks, Marva and Evan attended attend-ed the Horrocks reunion, Sunday Sun-day at the head of Daniels Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Gilbert and daughter, of Roosevelt, vis- ited Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert. Gil-bert. Mrs. James Larsen and family visited at the home of Mrs. Lar-sen's Lar-sen's sister, Mrs. Dick Fausett, in Upalco, Monday. Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gilbert were, Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marr Bell and family. Mrs. Shirley Mecham and children, Mrs. Orlene Labrum and children visited Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs-Marion Mrs-Marion Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird.. Deon and Mildred visited Sunday Sun-day at the home "of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan in Neola. They came to get acquainted tvith their new grandson and nephew. Mrs. Ellen Hawkins, of Colorado, Colo-rado, visited during the week at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty and Mr. and Mrs. Arden Evans. Mrs. Lusty and Mr. Evans are Mrs. Hawkins' sister and brother. Mrs. Scott Lusty and daughter, daugh-ter, Margaret, went to Colorado. Friday with Miss Mary Evans, to take their sister, Mrs. Ellen Hawkins, home, returning Monday. Mon-day. The Lucky Tramps 4-H Club boys and their leaders, Mrs. Grace Larsen and Mrs. Betty Evans, went on a tour, Thursday. Thurs-day. They visited at the following follow-ing places: Paul Foote's, Ioka; Winterton Bros., Roosevelt; Lamar La-mar Nielson's, Bridgeland, and Morgan Keller's, in Arcadia. There were thirteen boys in the club from here. Hale Holgate, Hol-gate, Mrs. Nona Holgate and Morgan Keller accompanied them. Mrs. Larsen, Mrs. Evans and Mr. Keller furnished the cars for the tour. They learned how to get their stock ready for the Fair and many ether interesting inter-esting things about stock raising. rais-ing. Mildred Bird is staying with her sister, Lurrine Duncan, in Neola for a while. Mrs. Neldon Johansen and children, of Upalco, visited during dur-ing the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson. Mrs. Lois Terpening visited Tuesday in Upalco with Mrs. Ellen Hawkins. |
