Show Improvement For Livestock Department At Fair By Wm. C. Foy We are trying to' imp-ove the livestock department of the Duchesne Du-chesne County Fair. We feel that this year will be a great improvement over the previous years, and we thank the many people that have helped and that are interested in the development de-velopment of the livestock of the county. We invite everyone to come and visit this department. depart-ment. The 4-H and FFA are the coming livestock growers of our county, so let's give them support sup-port whenever we can. B. A. Jacoby, of the Duchesne Drug, is giving a calf halter to some 4-H boy or girl for their interest inter-est and good work in their show stock. The supervisors, assistants and contact men are all ready to help and assist those who need help. Some of them will be on the job at the fair grounds to assist the exhibitor to place their stock. The following are the heads of each division: Livestock Department W. C. Foy. supervisor; Mont Poulson and Elmer Yergensen, assistants; assist-ants; Cliff Mickelson, clerk. Dairy Division Elmer Yergensen, Yer-gensen, supervisor; Sharon Cum-mings, Cum-mings, Afton Richens and Jennings Jen-nings Solmonson, assistants. Beef Cattle John Young, supervisor; su-pervisor; Frank Uresk, assistant. Sheep Division Wallace Seeley, supervisor; Leland Goodrich, Good-rich, assistant. Hogs Division Harvey Gee, supervisor; Tom Gilbert, assistant. assist-ant. Horse Division Hale Holgate, supervisor; Bob Murdock, W. C. Foy and Lawrell Jensen, assistants. assist-ants. There are contact men in most communities for the livestock live-stock department. They are as follows: Russel Robison, Ioka; Max Hartman, Mt. Emmons; Reed Clayburn, Bridgeland; Jennings Jen-nings Solmonson, Myton; John R. Davies, Duchesne; Leslie B. Goodrich, Bluebell; Arch Larson, Lar-son, Arcadia; Ken Carlile, Tab-iona; Tab-iona; Matt Foley, Roosevelt. There will be hay on the fair grounds that can be bought by the exhibitor and straw for bed. ding the stock. The straw will be -furnished by the fair board at no' cost to the exhibitor. |
