Show Women Crew on Diners The buffet-parlor car service on the Canadian National Railways' main line between Halifax, Nova Scotia and Sydney, N. S., has three women as a crew supervised by a male steward; one is a buffet-cook, another a pantry girl and the third a waitress. Heretofore, men were exclusively ex-clusively employed as dining car crew. The women who are replacing replac-ing the chefs and waiters are attracting attract-ing considerable attention. The waitress uniform is edged in maroon, ma-roon, with ron to match. |
