Show DUCHESNE 1 Miss Marvel la Moore returned ! to her home in Duchesne la it week from Salt Lake City, where she has spent some time receiving receiv-ing medical attention. , Mrs. Marie Ilalbcrt left last week for her home in Muscatine, Iowa, after spending the past month at the home of her brother, broth-er, L. C. Winslow in Duchesne. Mrs. L. C. Winslow accompanied her as far as Palisade, Colorado, where she will visit relatives for a short time I Mr. and Mrs. William T. Fisher and Bliss V. Lott of Mylon were transacting business in Duchesne Du-chesne Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher have sold their home inj Myton to Mr. and Mrs. Lott and will leave shortly ' for Grand Junction, Colorado to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Hemphill of Myton spent Friday in Duchesne Du-chesne attending to business matters. mat-ters. Olen Rasmussen who is cm-ployed cm-ployed in Craig, Colorado, is spending this week with his family in Duchesne. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Burdick spent Saturday evening in Duchesne, Du-chesne, where they met their son, Darrell, who is stationed with the army air corp at Hobbs, New Mexico, and his wife and small son, who spent a short furlough fur-lough with relatives in Bluebell and Duchesne. Walter Remington of Bluebell was in Duchesne visiting Saturday Satur-day evening. Mrs. Edna Peterson entertained entertain-ed a group of children Monday afternoon in honor of her young son, Larry's sixth birthday. Bernell Despain, who has been stationed with the 144th infantry infan-try division of the army at Fort Van Dorn, Mississippi is expected expect-ed home this week for a short furlough. Bernell is being transferred trans-ferred to to another place. Joe Rozclle of Park City, who recently purchased the A. M. Murdock ranch north of Duchesne Du-chesne was looking after interests inter-ests here Monday. Junior Wilson, son of Mjr. and Mrs. Ernest Wilson of Duchesne left this week for Salt Lake City, where he entered the Naval Forces of the U.S. Roland Merkley, who is serving serv-ing with the Naval Forces, is spending a leave with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Carmen took their young son to Salt Lake City the last part of the week foj medical attention. The youngster young-ster was playing and accidently ran a nail through his hand. He is recovering rapidly from the effects ef-fects of the wound. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Todd and children and Mrs. Mont Poulson made a trip to Heber City Saturday. Satur-day. George C. Kohl spent several days in Salt Lake City and Heber Heb-er City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Loran Allred have moved into the Baker house formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. James Miller. Mr.-and Mrs. Ernest Thatcher of Provo were visiting with relatives rel-atives in Duchesne over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert H. Wood of Kenilworth were week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart. Judge Dean Terry of Provo, Judge of the Juvenile Court was in Duchesne on official business Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brierly were week end guests at the home of Mrs. Brierly's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Marsing. Mr. Brierly is serving with the armed arm-ed forces. Mrs. Agnes Pulley returned to her home in Duchesne last week after spending some considerable time in Heber City rceiving medical med-ical attention. Sam Hatch, State Highway Patrolman Pa-trolman was attending to business busi-ness matters here Monday afternoon. after-noon. Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Schonian are spending sometime in Arizona. Ari-zona.
