Show Leeton-Bennett Mrs. Fay Estherbrook, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin McKenna and daughter of Salt Lake City, were Sunday visitors at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hall. Merna is going to spend the summer with her grandparents grandpar-ents at Leeton. Mrs. Don Palmer and small son and Miss Velois Long left Sunday for Salt Laek City. Mrs. Palmer will meet her husband and Miss Long will have some dental work done while there. W. L. Whitlock and Less Taylor Tay-lor were business visitors Friday Fri-day evening. Louie Hall, Phillip McKowen and Carma Allred were Sunday visitors at Leeton. Gerry Hall, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hall, went to Green River Sunday to visit for some time with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Hall. Mrs. Nellie Whitlock and Audrey Aud-rey Taylor and daughter, Max-ine, Max-ine, were Salt Lake visitors Thursday and Friday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Clive Sprouse returned home Sunday from a week's visit in Salt Lake City Miss Edith Penfold has gone to Colorado to visit with her aunt for some time. Weston Ilamaker left Friday for Salt Lake City to take his final examination for the service. serv-ice. Mrs. Norma Lindley of Provo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Houstian is visiting with her parents. Mrs. John Horrocks is at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frances Bowen. Last Tuesday the Relief society soc-iety had a surprise party for Mrs. James Earnshaw. The afternoon was spent in playing games and visiting. Refreshments were served by the officers. Miss Lola Bolton left last week with her aunt, Mrs. Lizzie Colton for Salt Lake City where she has employment. She will stay with her sister, Delia who is also employed there. Mr. and Mrs. John Bolton and son, Byron were in Vernal Thursday on business. Lawrence Murphy and daughter daugh-ter Rose Marie came home from Salt Lake City Saturday where they were both working. Mr. Murphy is going to work at the saw mill near here this summer. A double wedding dance was given Saturday night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Booth of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. 'Martin Hamaker also of Ogden. Miss Hamaker was formerly Miss E1-' len Twcddell of Price. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hamaker were married mar-ried Friday evening at the home of his mother, Mrs. M. E. Hamaker, Ham-aker, by Bishop Otis J. Horrocks. Those attending the wedding ceremony were Mrs. M. E. Hamaker Ham-aker and daughter, Ora and Niels; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Twed-dell Twed-dell of Price. Mrs. Joseph Jenkins, Jen-kins, grandmother; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Crouse and daughter of Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Booth, Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Robertson Rob-ertson and family of Tooele; Mr and Mrs. C. W. Hamaker and daughter of Huntington, La-Vern La-Vern Hamaker of Tooele. |
