Show Fishing Season Opens Thursday Morning June 15 Uintah Basin Anglers All Ready for Big Day, All Streams are High Throughout the state there will be about 70,000 fishermen who will at least try for the speckled beauties today and many of Uintah Basin sportsmen will be found on all open streams. The general fishing season for the state will open Thursday at 5 a. m. and fishermen may whip the streams until 10 p. m., however, how-ever, lake and streams at high altitudes will be closed until July 1. The areas which will be closed clos-ed until July 1st in this section are Moon Lake, Brown Duck Lake, Lake Fork Creek and Lakes above Moon Lake; Rock Creek drainage above Cabin Creek; North Fork of the Duchesne Du-chesne drainage above Mareel Creek; Yellowstone drainage above old CCC camp; Uintah river drainage above Davis ranch; Whiterocks river drainage drain-age above the red bridges, and Current Creek drainage above Highway 40. |
