High School Senior Class officers were the first to be honored as "'Outstanding Seniors" for 1 984-X.v 984-X.v They are Mike Middleton, president; Kim Batter, left. Mce president; and Rikki Pace, secretary. I At Viewmont High School we have an awesome senior class. I his new column has been created to help the community become I more aware of these outstanding seniors and to give recognition to deserving students for special accomplishments they have made , in and out of the classroom. ON'CK A month we will highlight one senior girl and one senior boy that we feel deserve credit for cx-iia-ordinary service, awards that they have received and-or other accomplishments they've made. We hope that the school and com- I munity will support us in this. To start our first column we've , decided to highlight the senior officers that represent us as a class. Of course doing just two of them would leave one out, so this month we will do three. Ol R PRESIDENT this year is Mike Middleton, and we could not I have asked for a better one. Mike is a great guy who cares about everyone. He enjoys all ! sports, and loves the outdoors and I the activities associated with them. I He runs cross-country, plays bas- i -ktball and was a member of last vear's state champion medley re-,-hry team. This summer he had the opportunity of attending Boys ! State at Utah State University. ! AFTER HE graduates, he would j like to attend Brigham Young Uni-! Uni-! versity and study law. He also has ! nlans of servine an LDS mission. Mike is very happy about the school's upswing in spirit and the unity that the Vikings have this isear. but feels that "We're not I there yet." He would like to see more support from both the stu-jdents stu-jdents and the community and ! would like people recognized for their accomplishments. ; AS Ol'R Senior class vice presi-jdent. presi-jdent. we have Kim Blatter who is a rfnn to be with girl, who loves u ! support the school activities. Kim is a very outgoing person and enjoys just about any sport. ! She is an avid soccer player and Jshe loves to water ski and also pla olleyball. She maintains a 3.6 gpa and after graduating she plans to g. jto the University of Utah and ma !jor in medicine. KIM HAS many things which she would like to accomplish or at least work on this school year. These include being organized at all times and when a deadline is set she would like to see it kept. Kim wants to help bring the unity and the Viking spirit closer to 100 percent per-cent in the 1984-85 school year. Rikki Pace is our senior class secretary and we are very excited to have her working with and representing rep-resenting us. RIKKI WAS born in Provo and has lived in California, Chicago and is now living in Bountiful. She loves the outdoors and anything that is done outside, she is actively involved. She likes to watch athletic athle-tic events, especially soccer and football. She is excited for this upcoming year because we have a great senior class. She hopes that they will set a good example for the rest of the school in the terms of spirit, unity and involvement. Rikki is happy with the many different clubs, athletic events and other organizations and their willingness to get in and "do it." She wishes them all the luck and support in the upcoming year.
