Show Now He's Director , Of Animal Control, ; Glen Wants Action ; " By GARY R. BLODGETT Clipper News Editor FRUIT HEIGHTS - When Glen Taylor takes over a new job, he likes to see action. THE FORMER school teacher and self-employed self-employed businessman has been assigned by the Davis County Commission as interim director direc-tor of the animal control center in Fruit Heights. Three months later, he's appointed permanent perma-nent director with several rehabilitation programs prog-rams already operating or in the advanced stages of planning. "WE HAVE all the confidence in the world in Glen," said Commission Chairman Glen Saunders when announcing the permanent appointment. "He has done an excellent job of reorganizing the department and putting it back on its feet." Now Glen (Taylor) will have the task of overseeing over-seeing the construction of a new animal shelter - costing an estimated $480,000. The new facility facil-ity is expected to be completed next summer and will replace the 20-year old structure located lo-cated near the Davis County Streets Department Depart-ment sheds in Fruit Heights. No criminal charges were filed. i During the three-month period, Mr. Taylor : reorganized the staff and took disciplinary ac- tion against some staff members.
