Pleasant Grove is representing the Country Coun-try of Cuba and they should have a very active part of the debate. Cheerleader tryouts will be held sometime this week. They will be selected in their groups by the popular secret ballot of the stud-entbody. stud-entbody. Petitions for studentbody officers of-ficers must be in by April 15. All petitions must be signed by at least fifty students. No student may sign mors than one petition for the same office. If more than two persons are nominated for ' the same office, a primary election elec-tion will be held. V-V Yesterday Pleasant Grove played play-ed host for the Regional Speech meet. The divisions in the meet were dramatic reading, humorous readings, retold stories, radio, and one-act plays. Results will be announced an-nounced later. V-V Congratulations go to Lynn Southam, who won first place in the region debate meet and then went on to take first in the state meet. He has been offered a $1,000 scholarship from the University of Utah. V-V Tomorrow night the physical education department will present pre-sent the "Gymboree" It will be presented to the studentbody 5th and 6th period today.
