Show Funeral Rites for Donna Chavis Held March 24 Very impressive funeral services servi-ces were conducted Thursday for 'Mrs. Donna Chavis, 50, who died March 24 at an American Fork hospital. The services were held in Manila Man-ila Ward Chapel at 1 pm. with S. Hal Haycock, Bishop's Counselor conducting. Biographical sketch was read by Chad Parks, a nephew. Here followed a vocal solo, "The Lord's Other Room," by Geniel Lewis, accompanied by Ila Gleave. Speakers who paid tribute to the life of Mrs. Chavis and spoke words of sympathy and encouragement encour-agement to her family were Pres. Bliss Daniels, an uncle; and Bishop Bish-op Elton Roberts. They were interspersed in-terspersed by a vocal duet" Beyond Be-yond the Sunset," by Patricia Seely and Jeanne Walker, accompanied accom-panied by Gwen Adams. Concluding speaker was Bishop Harvey E. .Smith. Final musical number a duet "In the Garden of Tomorrow," by Mrs. Seely and Mrs. Walker, accompanied by Mrs. Adams. Family prayer at the closing of the casket had been offered by Tom Daniels. Prelude and postlude music was played by Nelda Warnick. Benediction was pronounced by Fay Porter. Burial was made In the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery Ceme-tery where Clifton J Wadley of the Manila Ward Bishopric offered offer-ed the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers were Larry Chavis, Bud Chavis, James Chavis Jr., Larry Chavis, Roger Jensen and Chad Parks. Flowers were cared for and arranged by Manila Ward Relief Society. |
