Show Week of Summer Comes to Visit m P,G. Last Week It wasn't June in January last week, but at least it was summer sum-mer in March. The first week of spring was near perfect, with blue skies, bright sunshine and temperatures tem-peratures in the 70's for five of the seven days. In fact, conference confer-ence goers basked in 75 degree warmth. . Sunday pproved to be an old-fashioned old-fashioned "weather breeder" however, how-ever, and the halyoon days came to an abrupt end Monday morning. morn-ing. Skies were overcast and a cold wind blew in from the northwest, north-west, bringing intermittent rain and snow for most of the day. Monday's daytime temperature also took a 15 degree plunge as compared to the high of Sunday. Local gardners were putting their seeds back on the shelves and fruit farmers were hoping that the current squall would end without an April Fool f reezeup. It's happened before. During Monday's storm 14 inches in-ches of new snow fell at the Alta ski resort which raises the hopes for a better water year. It was partly cloudy Tuesday morning. The weather prophets said unsettled conditions would continue for a few days. Statistics for the week ending March 28. 1960. Date High Low Pre.
