Show Kay Jacobs Gives Awards for Bankers Group Kay L. Jacobs, casliler of the Bank of Pleasant Grove, attended the FFA state convention at Utah ..Motor Lodge in Salt Lake City last Saturday. Mr. Jacobs, representing repre-senting the agriculture committee of the Utah Bankers Association, presented 56 awards to boys of the Future Farmers of America chapters for outstanding accomplishments accom-plishments in the agricultural program. According to Mr. Jacobs these awards went to the top two per cent of the 2,800 Utah boys enrolled en-rolled in FFA work in the state. Earl Woolley, a member of the Pleasant Grove Chapter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Woolley, received a gold charm Bankers Award for his outstanding FFA project and igeneral school aotiv-ity. aotiv-ity. According to Willis Banks, adviser ad-viser of the local chapter, Le-Roy Le-Roy Jacklin, son of 'Mrs. Mae T. Jacklin, received a $300 cash scholarship from Standard Oil Co. for outstanding FFA accomplishments. accom-plishments. He may use the money mon-ey to help with 'his schooling in the college of his choice. Mr. Banks also reported that the Pleasant Grove chapter received re-ceived the superior award rating rat-ing for general excellence in carrying car-rying out the FFA program. |
