Show Blake Fordham Heads County Junior Baseball At a meeting of the officers of the Pleasant Grove Junior Baseball Base-ball Association held last week, it was decided that the local organization organ-ization would join the county group known as Utah Baseball for Boys Association. Blake Ford-ham, Ford-ham, president of the Pleasant Grove league, has been chosen to serve as head of the county organization. or-ganization. Mr. Fordham announced that every town except Springville will be represented in the Utah County Coun-ty organization. As a climax of the season, a county tournament will be held in Span ;--h Fork on August 16, 17, 19 and 20 for the best teams of each city. One entry en-try will be allowed for each four teams in a league. Based on last year's league, Pleasant Grove will be entitled to two teams. Plans were also made for the coming summer season in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Registration days have been set as Friday afternoon, April Ap-ril 22 for boys of Pony League age (13 and 14) and Saturday, April 23, for Little League boys. In order to be eligible for Little League play boys must be 9 years old by July 31 and cannot be 13 before August 1. Evidence of age, such as a birth or blessing certificate certi-ficate must be shown when registering. regis-tering. Thei registration fee for this year will be $3.00 which will cover baseball caps and insurance. insur-ance. An additional $1.00 will be required later for uniform rental when the suits are issued. It was announced that two fields will be available for play this year at the Grovecrest School. Some use will also be made of the field at the Central .School, although it has not yet been seeded.
