Show Central School News KINDERGARTEN The kindergarten children are making pretty colored snow-flakes. FIRST GRADE When the snow came it covered everything with a white blanket, and the first grade children had such fun playing- in it. They made big snowmen and little snow-women" v. hen the school held its Snow Carnival. The teachers took the boys and girls to see the things the other school children had made in the snow. SECOND GRADE ; This week the second grade pupils are starting a unit on health. They are learning how to take care of their bodies, in order to keep them strong and healthy. They had fun last Friday, when they made , things out of snow. They made an ice sundae, snowman snow-man and animals. THIRD GRADE The third grades are making an Eskimo book. They are going to havestories, pictures and poems in it. They have been making potato paintings. The custodians are now changing their rooms around for them. FOURTH GRADE The fourth grade pupils have been studying about many things during the past week the bloodstreams blood-streams of our bodies, transportation, transport-ation, Utah and electric circuits. They have made an electric bell and magnets. FIFTH GRADE In our science department we now have two Golden Hampsters. These tame little animals can be used for health and scientific experiments. ex-periments. They also make nice pets. We are studying early Unit- ed States history and learning about Hiawatha. At the Snow Carnival last Friday, for which we made a snow castle, Mickey Mouse, A Polar Bear and the Flying Enterprise. The librarian of our school was operated on Wednesday night for appendicitis. We miss her very much and hope that she will recover soon. I |
