Show Councilman Urges People Not To Park Vehicles on Streets City Councilman Eldon Johnson, who is in charge of Pleasant Grove's streets and sidewalks, Thursday asked cooperation from citizens of the city to keep their vehicles off the streets, so that his department could clean snow and debris in a consistent line. Mr. Johnson stated that vehicles vehic-les left on the streets hamper the department's work in making the city's roads desirable to travel. "The city has an ordinance which can be used to force car owners to keep their vehicles off the streets, but we would rather have cooperation than to put it into effect," Mr. Johnson said. He also warned children of the city not to ride sleigha after dark on the city streets, pointing to the four deaths and many injuries injur-ies that have been caused in Utah this season from sleigh-auto collisions. colli-sions. Mr. Johnson asked cooperation from home owners to keep their sidewalks free from ice as an added ad-ded precaution against accidents. |
