Show Everett West Enjoys Basketball Game As Coaches' Guest Everett West, 15-year-old Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove boy, who has been partially par-tially invalided since birth, had his fondest dream come true last Friday night in Salt Lake City When he was a guest of Coaches Vadal Peterson and Frank Brick-ey Brick-ey at the U of U-Montana basketball basket-ball game. Everett, who has suffered internal inter-nal vericose veins since birth, and who has been hospitalized much of his life, sat wtih the coaches on the U bench. It all came about when Dan Valentine, Salt Lake Telegram columnist, ran a piece stating that Everett was lonsome when he was in the L. D. S. hospital. Thousands Thous-ands of letters came in, but the one he treasured most was from Vadal and Frank. Everett's dream came true last Friday he sat with the coaches. After the game Everett and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wootton, were guests at Coach Brickey's home. Before the game Dan Valentine, for the Telegram, took Everett and his parents to the Rotisserie for dinner. To the present Everett has had 111 pints of blood transfused into his body, four major operations and two minor one, his mother said. He is at home with his parents I in Pleasant Grove at the present time. |
