Show Fire Department Members Re-organized A re-organization of the fire department de-partment of American Fork was effected last Saturday night with the acceptance of the resignation of the majority of the old members and the naming of the new members by the city council. Fire Chief I. L. Pratt remained as head of the new department as well as three former pembcrs: Glen Chadwick, Raymond Jacklin and Russell Rus-sell Thompson. The new members named are: Charles Robbins, Stanford Stan-ford Wilde, Weston Pratt, Myron Moyle, Elijah Chipman and Ilyrum Davis. It can readily be seen that the new members were wisely chosen, all being employed close in the city business section where an immediate response to fire calls can readily be made. Mr. Robbins is employed in the American Fork Co-op., Mr. Wilde in Dixon-Taylor-Russcll's, M'r. Pratt in Martin Nielsen Auto Co., Mr. Moyle in the Utah Poultry Producers plant, Mr. Chipman in Chipman Merc. Co.. and Mr. Davis at the Davis Service Station. Glen Chadwick was appointed assistant as-sistant chief, Raymond Jacklin was named captain and chief driver and Elijah Chipman, secretary-treasurer. The retiring members are Howard A. Greene, A. J. Butte, J. W. Snellon, ; Owen Humphries, Rollo Miller and Ray Sagers. The townspeople are I indebted to these men for their unselfish un-selfish and faithful service while in the service. The remuneration received re-ceived for the time spent as a fireman fire-man i3 small compared to the service I rendered. n |
