Show CITY ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER XVII OF HE REVISED ORDINANCES OF AMERICAN FORK CITY, UTAH, 1929, BY AMENDING SECTION 119 AND BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 118X PROVIDING PROVID-ING A CURFEW LAW FOR DOGS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF AMERICAN FORK CITY, UTAH: Sec. 1. There is hereby added to Chapter XVII, Revised Ordinances of American Fork City, Utah, 1929, a new section to be known as Section 118X and to read as follows: Section 118X. CURFEW LAW FOR DOGS: It shall be unlawful for the owner or keeper of any dog or bitch, or for any person having custody or control of any dog or bitch, to allow the same to run at large or to be upon the streets or public highways of American Fork City unaccompanied by the owner or keeper thereof between be-tween the hours of 6 p. m. and 12 o'clock midnight, or between the hours of 12 o'clock midnight and 6 o'clock a. m. of any day, and the City .Marshall shall immediately kill any such dog or bitch so running at large and may enter the premises of the owner or keeper thereof for such purpose. pur-pose. Sec. 2. Section 119 of Chapter XVII, of the Revised Ordinances of American Fork City, Utah, 1929, be and the same is hereby amended to .read as follows: Section 119. EXCEPTIONS: Every dog or bitch running at large, not licensed and without the collar mark as provided in this Chapter and any .bitch, whether so collared or not, found at large during her period of salacity, and any dog or bitch found running at large between the hours of 6 o'clock p. m. and 12 o'clock midnight and between the hours of 12 o'clock midnight and 6 o'clock a. m. of any-day, any-day, as provided in Section 118X may be slain by the Marshal or any policeman. police-man. Provided, that no person shall kill or molest any dog or bitch not in her period of salacity which may follow fol-low or be led by, any traveler into or through the city, while with its owner or keeper or near the wagon, animals or effects o.f the same. Section 3. PENALTY: Any persons per-sons violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Sec. 4. In the opinion of the Mayor and City Council of American Fork City, Utah, it is deemed necessary neces-sary to the health, safety and prosperity of the citizens of AmerL can Fork City that this ordinance take effect immediately. Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its pafisage and first publication.
