Show "M" Men's Inter-stake Meet Next Week The M Men's Inter-Stake hoop tournament in which athletes from 18 stakes of the L. D. S. Church, will compete, will take place next week. The tourney opens next Tuesday afternoon aft-ernoon in Provo, continues Wednesday Wednes-day in Pleasant Grove, Thursday in American Fork and will be completed complet-ed in Springville Saturday. Teams will be assembled from Lehi Le-hi on the north, to Fillmore on the south, from Uintah on the east to Tintic on the west. Thirteen winners win-ners have sent in application of entrance en-trance to the tournament, and Alpine,. Timpanogos and Utah stakes will be permitted to enter runners up, making mak-ing a total of sixteen teams coppet-ing. coppet-ing. Approximately one hundred athletes will compete, and about 10,-000 10,-000 athletes have participated in the M. Men's basket ball contests this year in the Church. The winning team will enter the church finals which will be held March 13, 14 and 15 in the Desert Gym in Salt Lake. The games compence Tuesday in Provo at 2 o'clock (p. m., Wednesday in Pleasant Grove at 2 o'clock and Thursday in American Fork at 4 o'clock. The schedule drawn up for Tuesday games in Provo is as follows : 2:00 p. m. Alpine runners up vs. Utah runners up. 3:00 p. m. Tippanogos runners up vs. Deseret runners up. 4:00 p. in. Uintah vs. Nebo. 5:00 p. m. Timpanogos vs. Kolob. 6:00 p. m. Wasatch vs. Millard. 7:00 p. m. Alppe vs. Juab. 8:00 p. m. Sharon vs. Palmyra. 9:00 p. m. Lehi vs. Utah. |
