Show Mesdames J. L. Firmage, Wayne Mercer, William Chipman and Fon Chipman were guests In Provo Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week at a bridge party given at the home of Mrs. E. D. Firm-age Firm-age in compliment to Salt Lake friends and Mrs. Russell Whitman of Appleton, Wisconsin. The Valentine party given by the Fourth Ward M. I. A. in the tabernacle taber-nacle amusement hall was largely attended at-tended and successful in every respect. re-spect. Miss Ruby Armstrong, beautifully beauti-fully costumed, presided as queen; and made a lovely picture with her attendants, Misses Reva Robinson, LaRee Chipman, Elma Wootton and Afton Strong, and the little Misses Ruth Hansen and Jenna Vee Beck, who acted as train bearer. To complete com-plete the picture there was a live Cupid in the person of Marrot Smith. The guests were met at the door by two nurses who took all "Patients" to Dr. Cupid for a complete diagnosis diag-nosis of heart ailments. During the evening each class presented pre-sented stunts before the queen, which with dancing constituted the evening's even-ing's entertainment. Refreshments consisted of large candy hearts. |
